Ok so i sold my house in Texas and we just moved back to Louisiana. I want to rent a place for a year or two so i can learn this town before i buy something. I refuse to pay 2K a month to rent a decent house and the 1200 a month houses are crap. I decided on a sweet apartment instead and i am loving it. The problem is that now i'm not sure if it makes sense to keep the nitro rc's. I enjoy the heck out of them and really want to keep them but i don't think i will be able to run them nearly as much as some electric rigs. If i do keep them, they will get the rolex treatment to be spotless and if i do run them, it will be on short grass or cement. I have my compressor but not much space to really spread out and work on them like i could in my old garage. SO what do you think? Keep them and just not drive as much or sell and get all electric so i can run them more often due to less maintenance and cleaning?

well beings i like both but electric is more fun to me i'd just sell them or keep your favorite one or something and go electric.

That's a tough call. Ever since I started with nitro engines, long before the cars and nitro MTs, it was just a matter of going to the back yard for break ins or to run a tank or ten.
There's nothing I'd like more than to take them outside and run their butts off, but there's no longer a track around here and I can't do it in the parking lot.
It's just a matter of time before I come across a big parking lot or construction site I can use.
The biggest problem is no one to run them with anymore. With the track, it was the meeting place on weekends and after work. Even when it rained, we all hung out in the store.

I'd say unless you have cash flow issues, keep them. You may stumble on to a nice bash area and even if you don't, the occasional short runs will still bring enjoyment IMO.

I say keep 'em. Take it from someone whom has parted with WAYYY too much lately (three really good guns and my Nitro MT)--I miss 'em all and want them back!!!

i still haven't decided. i am staying on the road these days and my trucks are broken with the parts to fix them right next to them. I just don't have time anymore. I don't want to take a loss on them so i may just clean them up and shelf them. Its always cool to show people.

I might trade the slayer for a sweet little mrc. Just a little something to bring on the road with me.

Measure the pros and cons. I got rid of all mine, due to non use and dont regret it at all. Uve seen my "rc room" just parts and electric stuff everywhere. just not enough hours in the day.

i hate losing money more than i hate not using the trucks. I would rather have a 1200 rig sit on the shelf instead of selling it for $450. I am keeping the savage but i may part with the slayer for something electric.

I would say keep your Savage and store it like it is Winter time, then see if you can't find some one to trade your Slayer for a Slash with, then you would have two cool trucks and you could drive the slash when ever you felt like it. and you could easily take it on the road with you, all you would need is your truck, transmitter, charger, and a couple of batteries.

Keep one nitro, and get one electric, that way, if you ever come across a place that you think would be better for a nitro you can use it there. And also you can use the electric anywhere, without annoying anyone. Plus, electric you wont spend anytime tuning it or anything it'll just be, as soon as you get the urge to use it, plug in the battery and go. NO TUNING!! :D

I can help you out! Bring your nitro rigs to the bash and I will take them home and run the poop out of them for you....I'll even snap a few pics and maybe a video:thumbup:

if i can get a little free time to fix them, i will bring them. Then chip is gonna bring them home and clean them.
