I am going to get a digital camera.I need some help choosing one. From what i have read the higher the megapixel the clearer the picture is?So i was thinking a 4 megapixel camera would be good.I am going to buy it somewhere local like a walmart or radioshack.I am not looking to spend more than 200 dollars.Any info on a good camera for around 200 would be apreciated.

The more mp the better, especially if you are wanting to print or have prints done in larger sizes. I can't offer much as far as what's available in your price range but would have to say at least stick with a name brand. Fry's (not sure if you have them out east) recently had a nice deal on a Canon 4MP that came with a printer for $149 after rebates, that was with the printer. While another camera store in town here had the same camera for $159 (camera only).

This looks like a very good digi cam in that price range.

I alwayz prefer camera runs on AA batteries. :D
Since you are in tight budget, stay away from Sony. The memory stick is more $$ compared to CF or SD cards.

This unit give you more zoom (Optical Zoom is what you need).

we have a casio 5.0 mp digital camera w/ zoom but that was $300.00 +. If you really want a good one i would spend the extra buck. It will reward you in the end. And if you buy a fairly cheap camera you'll have to buy another one so $150.00 x 2 = $300.00 = my camera! BTW its a CASIA QV-R41 3 x optical zoom x 4 x digital zoom w/ a 2.0" LCD Sreen. Thanks for the replies.I think i am going to get the Nikon Coolpix 3800.
