I remember taking photos not knowing how they were going to turn out, Having to either Waite till the roles full or waste the unused film, take it to be developed, PAY for the pictures, then having to re-take the photos if the didn't turn out and do it all over again.
1000 photos @ .25=1,200.00 I easily take 5-6k photos a year.
We will talk about having to scan them another time.
I read a few months ago that Kodak is no longer even making the APS and 35 mm cameras for the US and Europe. They only film cameras they're making over here are those cheap disposable ones. It wasn't that long ago that digital cameras came out and now Kodak doesn't even bother with film anymore. Technology is amazing.
I remember when I was younger, my mom would get mad because I'd shoot a roll or two with her camera and like 1/4 of them would come out. I got my F717 almost exactly 4 months ago and have taken snapped off 3,246 shots. I'll take it out with me anywhere and get like a few hundred shots a night. Film is soon to be totally dead, if it's not already.
I have the HP635 photosmart. Bought it at wal-mart for around $130. It's a 2.1mp and can take movies. It only has 16mg of internal ram, but I've been using 256M cards in it. The movies it takes aren't bad qualtity and it records sound. The only problem with movies is you can't zoom when your making a movie, just stills.
You can look in my gallery to see some pics I've taken with it. Keep in mind, I've shrunken them down and lessened their quality so they would fit easily.
