different reverse concept

hey guys, i was wondering if this is possible. because of the fact that reverse on nitro cars is very unreliable could someone put an electric motor (like one from an electric car) and put it onto the transmission. so when you wanted to reverse it the trans would stop and you would let off the brake and power up the electric motor, while the engine is still running. i know that the trans will not put power the wheels if it is spun backwards but what if you take off the piece that enables that. i dont really consider doing this but is it possible?

i would just stick with normal reverse trans ...less trouble ...the one i have is solid , and I'm not to easy on it

yeah, i dont plan i actually doin this or ever putting reverse on my truck but is it possible
