Diff grease??

Has anyone put a heavier weight grease in for your diffs? If u have where did u get it? I have been reading about spools but I'm gunna go with a heavier grease.. Help?

Heavier grease doesn't help much. Once a path is cut through it, the gears don't slow action much at all.

I do know badhorsie makes some sticky grease that is supposed to help slow the action of an open (unsealed) diff.

In my maxxes I have always used white lithium grease.

I ran a spool in my maxx for a bit. Made it chew through ring/pinion gears much faster than usual.

Who's jw?

I get white lithium in a small tub at any auto part store. Then I use a baby medicine syringe to put in the diff, makes puting it in nice and neat.
