God D@*!# Kyle Busch! Jr led the most laps, but couldn't seal the deal. They were wrecking almost every lap there towards the end. How lucky can that 18get? I guess I should be content with an 8th place finish considering he was almost wrecked everyone of the last 10 laps.

Tom, you know how these things go bro... You know how many laps Jamie led last year? A big whopping 3. There's always next week. Does Jr. run well at Chicagoland? I like Chicagoland from a racetrack perspective just from playing Nascar VG's but I also hate it because Jamie is always horrible there. For some reason he never runs well there. I don't know if it's setup or he just hasn't figured that place out but it's always an uneventful Sunday afternoon for me. But you never know, maybe next week will be the turnaround.

I know, I know. That's plate racing. Chicagoland has not been one of Jr's better tracks. All we can hope for is a good points day.. right? LOL What is Kyle Busch doing so right, that the rest of the field is doing so wrong?

Excuse me while I rant....

First off, I thought it was a good race. At least it was fast, and close and they were swapping all over. No idea who was going to win it until it was over. I can't stand Kyle. I think he's an arrogant prick. Yeah, he can drive. But just remember, a peepee-head in a BMW is still a peepee-head.
The real rant is that I think the Chase system is really killing any fun in the first 26 races. The way they reset points makes any lead meaningless. Right now, for example, Kasey Kahne is in 10th place. If the Chase were to start now, he'd automatically jump to 3rd place on the reset because he has 2 wins. Carl Edwards would jump to 2nd. Jeff Gordon, who's 6th, would fall to at least 9th (or worse) because he hasn't won. And the other side is that any lead Bush has makes absolutely no difference. He's up by 64 right now and that would drop to 20 if it all started now. And look at last season. Jeff Gordon had nearly a 400 point lead going into the Chase and he lost the championship.
So for me, it's really boring right now. The only thing that matters is being in the top 12 and having a couple wins. Anything else is immaterial. I think it's stripping any excitement out of the first 26 races.

Candyman... I agree 100%. I think the chase was implemented to compete with the NFL for ratings on Sunday's in the fall. I think it takes away from what it means to be consistant.

Another good example is Jimmy Johnson last year. He did good before the chase, but would have had a lot of ground to make up. But he won 4 of the 10 chase races and walked away with it. Someone like Kahne could easily do that this year even though he's pretty much blown most of the season.

+1 on the chase sucking! I still watch once and a while but it's discouraging when your drive busts his hump all year for nothing....Gordon should be a 6 time cup champ. I'll go get my cheese now.

BTW I like Kyle Bush more and more. Hendrick should have kept him!

I think the people that came up with 'The Chase' are same pricks that invented the BSC in college football. F'ing bean counters!

Yes yes yes, the BCS sucks even more than the chase.
