Oooo yea
Typhon.
Out with the old bent GPM 6061 towers and in with the OEM (7075, they say) towers.
Rear suspension feels ALOT more better now. More plush and more free.
Also EXB shock standoffs on all 4 corners now. Should be good to go. (Putting them on the rear also helped it free up a bit like above)

Rusty:
Regluing tires for this weekend and also added some washers behind the screw head/nut on the body for the spoiler so it doesn't rip through.
(Its real when you get out the flannel PJs

Haven't updated this thread in a while but since last track day, did one last outing of the season with
@luke66 where I bent the chassis, in the rear. gave it rear kickup which is ultra oof. But, bent it back with vise grips, for the time being. Was thinking about picking up the TLR Tuned chassis, might still do that but most likely will be going with just the stock V5 chassis on Jennys as its only 16 bucks to get it back running better. (Again, just for bashing, and track fun, not for performance although Typhons are fairly chunky, the TLR chassis with the milled out sections might help get the weight down.)
Also had a spare Firma 150 speedo I wired up and got back to running again. Did 3 layers of the Protek High tack grey tape underneath, and also screwed it into the esc mount plate. Been running flawlessly ever since with no esc cutouts or quirks.
Since then, swapped back in the Spektrum S665 servo as I had to rob the 9imod HV out of it for a 1/10 truck race build. Planning on picking up another 9imod to leave in here full time.
Got a full set of PL Fugatives ready to go for next summer. Just have to glue them up sometime.
Plan on doing/going to 6S on this thing as well. Got in a pair of CHNL 4000mah 3s packs the other month. Got them for 25 bucks total. Absolute steal. Just need to make myself a EC5 series adapter to run them. Should wake this thing up with those in there.
Planning on sticking with the stock body for now since it is black/red and matches the scheme on the Slash. Also, not to mention, A clear body version of the Arrma body is like 50 or so bucks. Why Horizon? I will never know. (Race 1/8 Buggy shells are usually 30-40 like SCT shells) Plus there isn't a ton of aftermarket shells for this thing. JConcepts has one, but looks super ugly. ProLine has the Axis body but I HATE light weight bodies, and had cracking issues with 1/10 Axis bodies in the past, plus the windows are too big for my liking.
