Hey guys,

Sorry but I have to vent. I just bought a new set of 40 series bowties from Proline and one of the tires has blisters under the tread, all around the tires. I called proline support and told them what the problem was and that the tires were less than a month old and have never been used. I was told they had never heard of such a problem and that I would have to send the wheel and tire back to Proline on my dime so that they could determine weither or not they were going to do anything about it. Man, that is all the way to freakin Cali and I live in MD. I want to race this truck now, not wait god knows how long for themt to recieve, evaluate, and then ship my old tire back or a new one back. That could take a month or more. All they could offer was an apology that they new it was an inconvenience that I could not run my truck. WTF! Just send me a new tire, and I will send you back the old one. What happend to standing behind your product, and the customer is always right? Sorry guys, just had to vent.

Tom

did you get em at an LHS?
if yes bring it back to them...as a seller of their products it's no biggy for them to handle it......if you have to send it back your self...make sure you write a NICE letter explaining how you like their product and are dissapointed in this one case and you had to miss a few races because of it....what an inconvenience that you had to go to Italy and leave your MT here.....I usually get some sort of compensation from my nice nice letters for warranty items....I'm hoping futaba will do the same....

That was going to be my plan first. The guy at my LHS where I bought them is a good guy. So I will try there first. You are right about the nice letter though. I have found early on in my life that you attract more flies with Honey than vinegar! Thanks for the info man.

Yeah man, it sucked I couldn't bring the MT over there... above all the fuel and other issues with taking it with me they are on a different frequency over there.

Tom

who cares what frequency they run...that just means you don't have to worry about them being on your channels.....it does seem like a pain to fly w/ RC stuff though.....

Dude with my luck I would turn my radio on and planes would fall from the sky.... I would all of a sudden have control over all those little cars they drive over there.... but you are right... at least I would know no one was on my channel... definite plus!

Tom

definitely go back to the LHS. Its easier for them to swap out a good pack for a bad one. Merchants get credits back all the time for bad products. If he is a good owner, he'll hook you up. if not, send them back to Proline with a nice letter.

I just realized you're talking about MT wheels in a buggy forum...OMG you're goin ta hell

You using 'em pro-line 23 HD thinggies?

Yes I am using the 23mm adapters... although Proline screwed me by making the bolt bigger than on my 1/8 stuff..... Oh well I guess I will send Proline another $30 bucks... or go to sears and look for a socket... Either way I will spend $30 bucks....

Tom

yep someone did their homework on what metric size socket was a bitch to find before they made a product around that fact......screw em.....Panther has all my business now.....

Yeah, damn marketing guys!!!! Someone definitely earned their paycheck. Panther huh? You will have to give me the skinny on that company. I don't know much about them. They make good stuff?

Tom

I've heard quite a few people using Panther, need to look into 'em as well. Also the name 'Panther Switches' has been spoken about, probably something like a crimefighter?

panther has some kick ass rubber. tried them myself for the first time this year. proline will never get my money for buggy tires again. ill be trying some panthers on my MT too and see if they can replace my bowties as well, i suspect they can from what the guys at the track tell me. the komodo dragons in soft compound work great on my local track, and from what I'm told, work well on tracks all up and down the east coast too.

Panther tires Rock....and OFNA rims from now on....Corrado I hear good things about the traxx-ass bow tie type tire for the revo....don't last too long but they are cheap and hook up like they got glue on the tread.....I think Native Racing is coming out w/ a 22mm hub for MTs....not sure if it's them or another company but one of the team drivers has a set of prototypes...22mm is a more common socket size.....I think the inner hub is 23 and the outer nut is 22...I'll have to ask some questions this weekend if it don't rain again......
