ok so i just cut my antenna off with my cage when it rolled over now wat, do i have to buy a new reciever and is there an upgrade that will actually get rid of the antenna
 
no,You need the antenna,the only thing that you can do is go to some model shop and ask them if they have any antennas for sale,just buy one and solder it back and that's all.

Yep. Cheaper than buying a new receiver.

It was already said, but the only way to get an antenna that is short and still retain range is going with a spektrum type system vs AM or FM.
