Can anyone tell me where I can buy cvd's and turnbuckles for the old t-maxx? The short ones, not the long ones. I would like them made out of some kind of metal, not out of plastic. Any suggestions? Please give me links.

I have a question...Are cvd's that much better that the stock axles??? I know that they are a lot more money. But is it worth my $$$$'s??

After upgrading to a slightly more powerful motor, I noticed the inner grooved axle became twisted and prevented the shafts from sliding freely. Inspect your sliders, if twisting has occured, CVD's would be a beneficial upgrade.... I chose the less expensive Dynamite CVD's. They look beefy, but I have yet to run em....
I can post pics of the "twisting" in the morning, if interested...

In my opinion, CVD's are the way to go. I had a huge crash my third time out, and broke a bunch of parts including my front tranny output yoke. I replaced the driveshafts with MIP CVD's, and the only problem I've had since was losing a lock screw because I didn't use thread locker.

Other's keep the stock driveshafts as 'weak links' because they're so cheap to replace. They beef out everything else in the driveline, and then if they break an axle, it only costs a few cents and a little time. Skymax may have more insight on this.

I run CVDs on the four corners but keep the center drives the stock sliders. The rest of my drivetrain is rock solid, so I need a weak link, as JohnClark mentioned. I have found that it is either a plastic spur gear or a plastic center drive shaft. For me it is cheaper and easier to replace the center drive shaft than it is to replace a fried spur gear. Just my two cents.
