can someone show me what pattern to cut the stock tmaxx tires?? does it help much?

I have heard it makes a big differance, I think you cut the parallel to the tread and at the same place around the tire but not to sure my self lol

They slide through a turn instead of flipping but they don't have much forward bite

I would like to have more foward bite. I only bash, and where I do bash at its all loose dirt.

I had mine cut too. They were alternating pattern. Wish I had pics.. Kinda hard to explain, but cut off half on the left, then on the next left cut half off the right and so on.. Hooked up awesome.

what did you guys use to cut them? a dremel tool I would have to guess? if so what attachment? Thanks, this looks interesting...

I cut the lugs off with a pair of dykes, and used the dremel with the stone wheel to make the masher look alike cuts.

I think I'm gonna trim my stock tires... Take off every other lug on each side, then take about 1/4" out of the center of each lug... Sand down the cut off ones.. i think it should work good..

JBradshaw00 this is a pic of a Masher tire. wouldnt take much to cut the stock tires to look like these :)

does anybody that has masher tires or stock ones cut similar to the pattern of them have any input on how much better they hook up than a stock tire that isn't cut? I guess I am trying to ask if it is a noticable difference on a race track type surface like a clay/sand mix?

Yeah I kind of figured that, but the stock ice skates almost make it a waste of time to go to the track, they slide and spin all over the place, but they are all that I have at the moment. I am not a racer and won't be for a long time, just wondering if cutting the tread on them will make the truck hook any better at all on that type of surface.

I'm going to cut mine, I think it will help with the type of driving I do and the terrain around here. Mud/snow/rocks

Yeah, it probably will help if you cut them. I think i am actually going to cut 2 spots out of the lug, so it flexes more... Those tires are really stiff...

I just cut mine tonight and am going to the track in the morning, I will let you guys know how it works, it looks like it will work better. On each side of the tire, I cut 1 approx. 3/16" groove in the middle of one bar of tread, then the next block I staggered 2 of the 3/16" grooves on either side of that particular tread block, then back to 1 on the next block, and so on. I did this on the left and right sides of each tire, took me a an hour or so, but hey it's free, and it's got to be better than the stock un-cut tires. I'll let you know tomorrow

I don't have a digital camera to show you, but here is a rough sketch so you can get the idea
