so i have a nitro MT that i just upgraded with an 18SS outlaw only about 10 tanks of gas through it and i havent really started tuning it yet, it runs great until i go all the way to full throttle and then it dies. I'm positive it's not too lean, i have plenty of blue smoke, and it doesn't get rough or tinny sounding. when i release full throttle quickly the motor comes back to life and still runs fine. Am I just extremely rich?

Could be rich... but the NMT only has a 75cc tank in it which is very small. IMO, 10 tanks at that size is too early to be hitting WOT. I'd be doing another 5 at least.

Rich typically doesn't stall out when at WOT though. Only lean does that as your jamming in more air than fuel needed, so it starves. If it was too rich, you would be getting the rich gurgle from 3/4-WOT, not a stall. At least I think that's what it would do.

Run a few more tanks through it and go easy on it. Then try running a WOT pass. I wouldn't expect proper or decent performance out of it until you get around 15 tanks though.

ok i do have the larger MT2 tank on it, i'm not sure what the size is 100-125cc maybe? I thought when it stalls out from being lean it completely dies, or at least that has been my experience, right now it dies then immediately comes back to life when i release the throttle. could it be since i have lots of gear that when it goes to 'gurgle' it just doesn't have enough power to keep the motor running? I've also checked for leaks and i have all new fuel line on it too.

Could be... I've had engines that when lean it does as you described. But usually when rich, it just gurgles and spews smoke a lot.

You can try leaning it out a bit and see if it improves or gets worse.

ok i got it sorted out... it was too lean, i richened it up and it went away, stupid lsn was quite rich so it was covering it up. now i need more traction and more range hehe.

that .18ss is bad isnt it? that thing will roll lol. if my wheels dont hook up it just spins tires but if it does hook up here comes a huge wheelie lol. i wish i had a 4wd stadium truck sometimes.

I don't wheelie, i have street tires and it sits low, the fronts do just barely touch the ground when i'm going full bore, and they jump a little when it shifts to high gear. I need to change my gearing a little and it probably will wheelie when i put a lower gear set in it. Right now the RPM's aren't climbing when it shifts into high.

I haven't had a problem with it cutting out since i richened the hsn and leaned the lsn

course my truck is 2wd rush evo lol. but yeh when i mash on the whole rear end goes down and if it grabs that front end will come up high and i could ride a wheelie forever.
