Custom Roll Cages

Thinking of making a custom roll cage. Anyone out there ever made one? What materials did you use? Post Pics. I'd love to see the process you used and/or the finished product.

I havn't done one yet but I'm planning to sometime this spring/summer. It'll be steel rod.

3/16 seems to be the standard for this app.

depends on how much tubing there is I suppose. Probably a pound, just a guess.

I haven't made a "cage", but I've made a few roll bars to help protect the engine and block direct impacts with the rear shock tower. I used 5/16" cold rolled steel bar.

With each one I make, I make them a bit better and apply more thought to it. I should make a new one for my aftershock... but I guess I don't care.

As you can see... I ran it before making the roll bar... stupid skate park!
