Ok, so I'm going to attempt a custom paint job on a F-250 body for my Revo. I think I can pull it off, but I need to know a few things.

First I need to know what kind of paint, and the best place to find it?
Also, what about this bob dively liquid masking film? Is it worth the money? If so, how much do I need to paint a truck body?

I'm open for any suggestions. on masking, stencils, paint, or any thing else that will make this a success.

Thanks guys,

Bob divelys is good stuff. I found four heavy coats works best. Do NOT put it on thin, you will regret it when you have a hell of a time getting it off.

For paint I prefer Pactra Acryl for my airbrush over anything else, it just shoots so much better than any other water based rc paint I have used and clean up is a breeze. If you are going rattle can you can use either Pactra in a rattle can, or the Tamiya paint for polycarbonite bodies. But you MUST use a polycarb/lexan paint or once it dries it will flake off the lid.

So what theme are you thinking of going with?

I was thinking of a black with blue Roush Racing style stripes over the top with some ghost flames or smoke inside the stripes.

Yes, I just haven't had alot of experience with it. I will practice first. But, I haven't really decided what I'm going to do. I'm weighing my option, first.
Do you know were I can get some cool flame stencils?

yeah, that's what I meant, I just didn't know what they where called. I got some XXX main flames. so I'm going to attempt a ghost flame job inside of a wide metallic blue racing stripe.

Here it is. My first paint job. What ya think?
