I have an aftershock just wondering when I want to replace or upgrade parts how many parts from the LST, LST2 or XXL will fit? Thanks for all help.

As Surfir said, the best thing to do would be to upgrade to the LST2 specs. Then your truck will be interchangeable with the XXL.

Okay not trying to thread jack here but I got $250 in gift cards to the lhs and my aftershock is still pretty much stock. I've had it the longest and all I need for my Bandit is some tires, maybe a body to start racing for fun in a very amateurish club level in the summer and the tc4 is going good with more then enough spares for racing. I'm pretty damn sure the aftershock is discontinued but I really love the thing and want to hop it up and keep it going for awhile, so I'm thinking of getting the performance upgrade kit, the wing kit and sway bar kit seeing as hi I can't find the one I bought last year. This will cost me a little under $250, do you guys think this is my best root as it pretty much upgrades everything to lst2 specs which will allow me to use a lot of the xxl parts which hopefully will allow me to keep this truck going go for along time. Or is the xxl being discontinued to as well and I should just sell off the whole thing. Oh and I plan on getting the aluminum 3 shoe clutch as well, that brings it to just under $250, anyone know of a better one then the losi one that doesn't cost an arm and leg.

The wing kit is more for looks that anything...decent for a wheelie bar once in awhile lol. IDK if the Aftershock was discontinued but Horizon Hobbies just released another round of XXLs. You can find people parting out the stock parts on ebay again. That being said aftermarket aluminum support for the kit is quickly drying up. I've been trying to snatch up after market parts left and right for my 2 kits before they are all gone. I dont really understand this as the LST2/XXl is an amazing truck IMO. I'm hanging on to mine but I can't find a set of aluminum steering knuckles for my XXL to save my life :(

I was actually just thinking that about the wing kit and replaced it with the better throttle/brake/reverse linkage. I've also noticed that about the aluminum upgrades drying up, those gpm shocks you have, have been out of stock for a long time now. But that's all I want to do for aluminum for now anyways, what else do you suggest for aluminum down the road? Are you running the stock tires on those 420 series wheels that come with performance upgrade kit or do you recommend anything else. I might get the 17mm conversion hexes down the road as well to open up to bigger selection of wheels.

So far on my LST2 (trying to get all the parts for my XXL also) I've upgrade the chassis brace, Steering knuckles, Shock towers, bellcrank, to aluminum. I also upgraded my arms to RPM and my turnbuckles to Lunsford titanium rods. If I could find them Id upgrade the tie rod ends to aluminum also.

I don't think I want to go that far with aluminum. I was thinking shocks, steering knuckles and the chasis brace. Also the Rpm arm with Lunsford turnbuckles, but I'll do that when I break them if I ever do.

The shocks arent neccessary. The plastic ones work just fine although the aluminum ones do look nice. All the upgrades I mentioned are IMO necessary as you will brake those pieces. Especially knuckles, turnbuckles, and a-arms. Those would be my first 3 upgrades.
Shocks towers maybe not as long as you arent jumping it 12ft in the air the stock ones will probably hold up.

I seemed to have missed this batch of posts after my last one. I have to say, whether the xxl/LST/2/aftershock/MGB/muggy all get discontinued I will keep buying up rollers, and whatever parts I can get my hands on. When you can buy a roller for 175 or less in great condition, theres tons of parts.

With that said, if you really want to do the upgrades, why not just buy a lst2 roller that is in good shape? then just buy a new bearing set and cvds if you really want. I just think you may make your money strecth a bit farther going this route.

+1. I don't think I could ever part with my LST's. I will just keep on stocking spare parts just in case they are ever discontinued. ;)

Wacmartin, I meant to put this in earlier. It'll probably be cheaper to get the conversion parts from an Ebay chop shop, just an idea.
