I was wondering whats the farthest anyone has ever jumped an R/C car or truck because i planned on jumping a creek by my house and was wondering if it has ever been done before. if anyone has can you let me know how fast you were going and how far you went.

I say all that attended the Hamptons bash will be a considered BIG AIR.

As for myself 30 foot stretch is mine but not more then 15feet high 20 at best.

Skymaxx, one of our Mods helped host the Hamptons as well as El Pirata. Two cool members! Skyline racer has a shot of his ride from the street at this Hamptons bash.

Lucky bastards

I think the furthest I've launched was about 25-30 feet at about 10-12 feet high. It was my savage wrapped out tight in second with 14/52 gearing. I was testing my 1/8 buggy shocks. I hit the jump about 10 times before it dawned on me that it was probably hard on the truck... but it was so cool to see it fly.

Then I hit the jump about 50 times at about 1/2 throttle in second and was averaging about 15 feet distance.

About the same here, WOT accross a big parking lot a few times before I blew out 4 of my HB threaded shocks. Did I miss it or what type of RC do you have? Buggies I have seen get some amazing air time. Whatever you do, practice in an open space first so you know how big your ramp should be, etc. Would make a cool vid as long as your RC doesn't end up floating down-stream. ;)

Jumped my tmaxx 30 some ft. and stuck the landing. Jumped it a little over 40 ft. once but the landing was horrific. Dougc's savage jumped about 40ft and landed fine. Both of us hit the ramp at almost the top of second gear.

Take some pics of the creek so we can see what your intending to jump... :smoke:
Cheers Andy

A buddy of mine lives by this abandoned railroad track, and it has about 30 ft of punch it time before it goes up a 6 ft or so jump. We messure 38 ft with the buggies, but the Maxx's didn't have the power to get enough speed. They only went 10 ft, or so.

This was quite along jump.. I never bothered to measure how far it went though..

That ones in your video and its a bad arse jump, you were killing that lightning, did you break anything that day?

I can't say what speed or final distance, but I will say that you can jump a creek (depending on the width) if you get the proper run up, speed and ramp.

Check this thread for some crazy air that has been referred to in this thread. You will see SkyMaxx, SkyLineRacer, and El Destructo flying their 1/8 scale buggies. El Pirata is not pictured, but was the first to make such an attempt and land it.

Hi I cannot remember breaking anything that day.. I think mi bro got through a couple of front hubs on his lightning..

If You Really Want To Know How Far It Is You Might Want To Sit Down First Because Its About 125-150 Feet The Longest Jump I Have Ever Seen Is About 100 Feet.
