So I scored this Losi 8 with 454 big block and Spektrum controller for my Gamo Bone Collector .17 pellet air rifle. I think I got the better end of the bargain but the guy just did not want to deal with nitro's anymore! WooHooo!!! The good thing is that we both left happy!

Good deal! I thought this was going to be another $5000 T-Maxx listing.

He said the steering servo is no good so I gotta do some shoppin around for one of those but the truck is really clean, he also threw in a bump start box and all the paperwork for the DX3, the starter box and the truck itself, its all in new condition! All this for my pellet gun and case and a pack of pellets.

Welcome to TLR. ;-) Not sure what you currently have, but that truggy is as good as it gets!

That looks barely run. Based on what you said - he's had it with nitro - I'd be sure to give it the once over as who knows what's been changed. ;-) I've learned that most of the people who 'quit' nitro do so because they don't have the heart for it. It's pretty rare for a true nitro head to just give up like that.

He changed to electrics and did away with his nitros. He said he drove it around 5 times after break in and it has just sat in his garage taking a back seat to his electrics and his heli's. I would say he is in his early 50's and is retired from the PD. He seemed pretty respectable and did know a ton about the hobby. His wife said he could trade one of his rc's if he wanted a nice pellet rifle so he chose the Losi since he does not use it anymore. The model is a 8ight T.

You definitely got the better end of that trade, nice rig congrats!

I got a chance to fire it up last night and it does start extremely easy if you warm up the block first. I do have to say tho that this rig makes both of my Revos's sound quiet in comparison. This thing is LOUD!

That's awesome. Loud is good. If you decide to upgrade engines try an OS 25XZ/086 combo. That will reach out and touch ya. When I first opened mine up, my wife (who's heard all my engines) said "was that you outside?? I thought someone was driving a motorcycle up and down the street!" She was not pleased but I thought "hell yeah!"
