Ok so there's a tmaxx 3.3 I talked him down to 200. It hasn't been run much and you can tell. It's very clean and hardly any scratches. It doesn't run as of right now. I haven't seen it in person so idk if the motor will even turn over. Is that a good deal or no?

NO! Try for less than $100 it's not running. You can get running T-Maxxes for $200.

Ok! He won't go under 200 though. So I guess no to that one. Thank you !

Am I doing to have to be the one to say it?

Really???????

::sigh::

RUUUUUN FORREST..... RUN!!!!!!!!!

Save and buy a new mgt or get a used savage. Avoid used traxxas rc threw craigslist. I get the same story they only ran a few tanks and it was not for them.savage or 4.6 mgt will be bad ass bro

You did the right thing in passing on it. Tmaxx's can be had for a much better price and in working condition. See here - you can get a number of Tmaxx's for the $200 range that's working with plenty of upgrades already installed.

He should buy from here, he can get his questions ansered better then some kid from craigslist or a ebay seller just selling there rc as is .

Hell, I have a great running Maxx 2.5 I would sell ya for $150 and it has an awesome airtronics steering servo in it! But then you have shipping!

Yeah I ended up just buying a new dynamite motor for my maxx.
the .19? Those can run hot like the 2.5 i would run it and if it runs hot just go threw the air leak check. i wish ya good luck with ya new set up get some pics when you get things in order i would like to see where you are at in the next few days with your t maxx. take care

I have the .19 in one of my Revos and it runs in the 240-260 degree range. Its a decent motor especially for the price. I would not say that it outperforms the 3.3 by any margin but a good budget replacement motor!

Will do! And the maxx is just the basher I dont wanna dump a lot of money into it. And I seal all my motors before I even put them in. Easier to do it before you need to. Thanks for the info guys!

And honestly should I get the 3.3? I've heard some guys say they hate it and some say they love it. I want power for the monster. And that motors only 20 more so if it's better I would rather spend a little bit more

yeah i am just going by some guys who had air leaks but i can tell you there is far less reviews of the .19 where some one goes on and on like the trx motors and there over heating issues. I think for 109.00 i might get one for my maxx

to run it i would do a FOC and upgrade the slipper and that is kinda the starting point to run the 3.3. I think the .19 will be the right move just based on what you want from this truck. Ya start it run a tank here an there go to the park or run it up and down the street. I am very down on the trx series of motors but there is many guys who like them but if ya do some searching find how many people switch out the motors and really not go to a big block they just switch to stay under 300 deg and not fry plugs.

Well mine already has the FOC. It was an old smaxx that I put 4x4 in it. I know I'll eventually have to upgrade because the .19 has a bit more power. And random question but my steering and throttle servo lags pretty bad. Is that bad servos or what?

I got a old school maxx that some one put a 3.3 in and did a foc only and it did not hold up well. I have some rpm stuff and i have the old school electronics. I had to a hpi fail safe , lets talk about servos. T maxx are well known to have bad steering most monster trucks do but you can get a better ball bearing /metal gear high speed etc etc servo for like 30.00 and its a big upgrade. Hitec is a good company for me i use 2070 its what the 3.3 has . See they have the 2075 blue servo case same as the 2070 spec wise its not metal gear but with a receiver pack at 6 volts it does move the tires well the truck is just sitting there. The non water proof ones can be had on ebay for under 16.00 the water proof are around 18-20.00 shipped. Both are digital if that means anything to ya just saying. I like it and for me i find i can hold a tighter turn and for me i only paid 12.50 for a new one and i am very happy. 2055 stink but make good throttle servos that is where most people put them when they upgrade there steering servo. All so t maxxs are known for there bad braking but there is some things you can do to dial in the braking in. If ya go for more power you want to be able to stop the truck . Imo the .19 and the drive train ya have now should be fine for the time being i would not go out and start spending more money as like you said its just a basher.
