Hey, I've been looking into buying a tuned exhaust for my Traxxas Sport SE... it currently has a .15pro in it, and they have a tuned exhaust listed for it on their website. The thing is, before I go spend $60 on it, I had a general question about these exhausts.

Do I have to buy from my manufactuer, or are there any manufactuers that make exhausts to fit all kinds of engines?

If I buy an exhaust, will it work for multiple engines with the same effect?

You see, I wanted to also upgrade my engine eventually, so itd be pointless to upgrade my exhaust if I am just gonna have to get another one.

On that note, I am aiming to replace my .15pro with the TRX 3.3, and that have no clue what kind of exhaust I would have to buy. Scince Traxxas has no reccomended exhaust kit for my Sport with a TRX 3.3 I have no clue what I should do.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

In this case, I'd have to say that it would probably be best to wait until you upgrade the engine. I don't think that the .15 and the 3.3 use interchangeable exhausts. The 2.5r and 3.3 can exchange exhausts.

Thanks... that only answered one of my questions tho .... you guys are brutal :(

Nice attitude, slick! I'm sure folks are going to trip over themselves to help you out now!

Tell ya what, why don't you call Dr. Phil and see if he can help you with that arrogance issue you have, then you can come back and try again!

Since I am going to be doing this soon (but in a Nitro Rustler) with the 3.3, I would also like to know. Since the 3.3 and 2.5 use the same exhaust port, I'm guessing they use the same pipes. Although, I absolutely hated that stock plastic one.

There are many different companies making exhausts for the 3.3 and 2.5r. I am going to be purchasing a Vantage carbon fiber pipe for my Revo. Some of the guys here love the Trinity pipes, but be warned that they are LOUD. The only other thing I'll warn you about is not to get the dual outlet exhausts. They may look great but they make the engine hard to tune and steal a lot of power.

Well if you guys are going to upgrade to the 3.3 I would suggest the pipe that THS makes for the Traxxas mill. It is all aluminum and has a one piece header. It is a direct bolt on and works great in my opinion.
