Hey all, I recently bought a tmaxx 2.5r that had been upgraded to a 3.3 at some point. Anyway after i bought it I had to put in a new clutch due to a broken spring and a new brake set up due to bad install of some steel shafts. So heres the questions 1.- It had been upgraded to all steel drive shafts but the brake adapter was still original with a short pin through it so the brake just spun/wobbled around and did nothing. The shafts do not have any names on them and the hobby store couldnt tell for sure so I ended up just putting in the stock shafts(2) to run the brake. Are the stock ones going to be ok? Any idea how to find the right adapter to run the steel shafts?
2.-after running it I found the steering sluggish and think the servo is worn. What is a good upgrade option? I also added a rechargable hump pack in place of the AA pack.

Here a couple pics of the truck and everything I got in the deal.

Well this thing is not letting me upload any more pics, I'll try again tomorrow

stock drive shafts are fine. I've never broken one with a 3.3. only with my LRP big block

If your running the stock 2.5 drive shafts they should take it for a while. The front your def good on. I have broke a couple stock rears running a 3.3 on my old short chassis maxx. If you post some pics we may be able to help with the brand of steel drive shafts. If your looking to replace the stocks with a new set of steel drive shafts that include the correct brake hub the RC Best brand on ebay can be had cheap and they are very good quality. Mine hold up to a Picco .21 and have been for 2 years. I think there on ebay now for like $15.00. Hope this helps!

the only problem I have on my maxx is I break the steel pins that hold the drive shaft in place witch is about every 6-8 tanks that's with a 3.3 now I'm running a .19 and have had no problems

Ok, sounds like I may just leave the stock ones alone for now. When I get home I will try to upload some pics of the steel shafts to see if someone can tell what they are to get the right adapter and see if there are boots available to replace the torn ones.
