Hey heres a pic of what I think is a cool looking homemade exaust deflector made from a 90 degree stainless steel piece of pipe with a rubber spacer to hold it to the exaust pipe.

Tell me what you think about it (click the attachment)

(I am not sure if the picture is on here this is my first time putting a pic on)

Not bad, but hard to see what you have. If there wasn't an explaination, i wouldn't have been able to tell.

Is the 90degree bend hindering your performance at all?

I wouldn't want something that big and bulky hanging off the side of my truck.

Your looking for trouble. When it gets caught on something, and it will, your going to damage one ore more of the following: your pipe, header, block, motor mounts or god know what else.

It kind of makes a $5.00 deflector sound cheap doesn't it?

Just my humble opinion.

I guess u guys are right it is kind pointless it dosent do much and it adds weight but in person it looks cool but i think i will take it off.

just put a silicone deflector it will deflect it better than that wiil because you can direct it in more dictions and its angled more towards the ground:sniper:

It doesn't look bad at all. I do have to say I am with FastEddy tho. I would be afraid of having something solid sticking out the side of the truck.

I have a pretty hard time getting my tires past poles and fence posts. I can almost visualize screaming next to a fence post, and having it just catch.

I see my truck doing wild 360's, and walking up to see the exhaust ripped off the side of the rig. ;(
