Not a fan of those "readers",just give me the book. Nice couch
Thanks racer, I never was either till I got the Kindle app on my iPod. But there are literally thousands of famous literary works out there under open license, most of the classics too. Those two factors was enough to win me over.
I have the same couch but in green, love it....Congrats on the reader, I dont read much other than online but I looked at one of those around Christmas time, cool item for sure.
Thanks SNG, that damn couch is infested with the sleeping disease I tell ya.
Cool gift man! That is the exact same e-reader my dad bought for my mom for christmas. It is pretty cool indeed. Built in wi-fi and everything.
Yep, after the firmware update, I'm loving it. If she hasn't updated hers, it's a BIG difference in performance and speed.
I see a big flash glare from the camera. Bow does it look in direct sunlight. My wife bas a kindle and its simply amazing when the sun is directly on it. Just like a book.
Haven't tested it Lessen, but I doubt it does very well if I had to guess. Not a big deal for me though, as I never read outdoors. The e ink displays like the kindle are amazing in any lighting though, I agree.
Can you use one of those thingy magigys to... say, watch youtube videos and surf the web?
You can surf the web Matt, but no flash support, not natively anyway, so no Youtube or Hulu just yet. But since it's Android, I'm working on it, and will keep you posted. The readers are on sale at Radio Shack right now $40 off I noticed in the sale paper this week.
