Hi,
I have a Duratrax evader with a Novak Dually ESC, and a 12 turn motor.I am running 1500 Duratrax Batts. for now.I am having a problem with the connection between the Batt and esc the plug on the esc. is getting realy hot and melting it is to the point where if it vibrates it loses connection. So i installs a computer fan pointing directly at the esc and connections,I have to see how it works tommorrow.I just wanted to see if anyone had sugg. on what could be the problem?

Thanks

have u changed this connection???? or is it still stock

if you have changed it it is b/c the wire you are useing is too small of a guage.

also if you changed the connection it could be bad sodier points

the reason why is it getting hot is b/c of its resitance

your making it like a lightbulb

Yea i already checked on those.I am gonna convert all my connections over i just did not wnat to spend the money and have them mellt to. And which would be better convert all the Batt leads to Dean's and make a pig tail to charge,oR leave them alone and make a pigtail to conect to the truck?

You can take the Tamiya connectors you're going to cut off and make an "adaptor" - one end to slip on the charger, one end with your low-loss connector to attach to the battery. This is not as efficient as soldering the low-loss connector right on the charger leads, but I've been in situations where three or four racers needed help charging and I'd just change adaptors.

The deans or any other low-loss connectors won't melt, the problem is that over time the Tamiya's get dirty and lose conductivity, creating a point of resistance at the connector. With 12 turn they might get warm, but won't melt.

Many like to solder the ESC leads right to the motor, but low-loss connectors there are convenient for easy motor swaps.

Right now i am gonna solder the motor lead to the ESC i dont plan on swapping motors any time soon unless i fry it.

Thanks i will get Deans conectors then
