well we try to race, but probably looks like bashing.! Nah we r getting better, we all have revos but one sometimes 2 tmaxx 3.3s. Sunday the maxx handled real terrible as the tire came off both inside and outside bead. Didnt have any glue so we ran it.

I just parted out my Tmaxx, still ahve an Emaxx. I also own 3 Savages, an LST2 and a recently acquired Revo so I can speak from all aspects.

The Tmaxx was the original MT. Many improvements have been made since. My Maxx was 100% RPM and other AM parts. It handled ok, but I usually broke something every time out.

The Savage is a much stronger truck. Its a tank and handles that way. Its ment for bashing, not racing.

The Revo is a racing MT. Better for racing, but not as tough as the Savage. Just what the trucks were built for.

The LST is somewhere in the middle. Pretty tough truck, handles much better than the Savage, but it weighs a ton. Call it a precursor to the Revo.

Now Alu parts are great on the corners (c-hubs, knuckles etc.) they suck as any impact points (bumpers, skids). You need flexibility for impacts. ALu parts bend and stay bent.
Alu. bulks are great and towers are good IMO. Arms need to be plastic. Worst place to have alu. They will bend, destroy hinge pins and damage bulk heads.

I've been noticing a trend, been on 3-4 different threads and Riz 23 is doing nothing but bragging up the savage and how fast it is and how tough it is.

Apparently I'm not the only one who's a fan. :first_place:

It's all part of the game, no matter which rig you own. Bash, Fix, Repeat!

Right, especially when most of us dont own that truck anymore. We own aftermarket representatives of that truck.

My Savage is my favorite, but it prolly has 3-4 original parts. Same goes for most of my r/c's.

I actually have a few trucks that are mostly stock (SX-10, Losi Mini Rock Crawler, Losi Micro ST Brushless Edition) and then there are some that have 1 stock part left (both of my R-18s). The rest of mine fall somewhere in between.

With few exceptions, I only upgrade what I break. The exceptions for me are brushless motors and LiPo batteries.

I love my Savage X SS but my LST2-E and my XXL are my favorites. I sold my T-Maxx, my MGT, and my mini MGT. Theyare all decent trucks provided you have the right upgrades but IMO the Savy and the Losi MTs are just better all the way around. The Savy for its out of the box toughness and the amount of aftermarket support and the Losi's because not only are they built tough the design to me is one of the best thought out and its very easy to work on.

I've never owned a Revo and I imagine it does handle better than most MTs on a track but there arent to many places left that race MTs and most people that buy MTs are going to bash with them so while I can't directly speak for the Revo I would dare to say that most of the people that buy a revo either are lucky enough to have a track that races MTs or they are buying it because they arent aware of the better choices available out there for bashing MTs.

they arent aware of the better choices available out there for bashing MTs.

That's because Traxxas is using they're inflated prices to advertise WAY more than any other brands. Just within the last 1-2 yrs Traxxas' prices have jumped up but I don't see any major changes or upgrades to justify the increase.

They have also plastered their name on everything from Nascar to Short Course off road racing. You can't deny that they are very smart when it comes to marketing and advertising.
