Does anyone know how or what components are needed to hook up a regular 52' Sony flatscreen with standard AV/Audio jacks to recognise computer imaging? I know that several perifreals alow you to browse the net from your telivision, but I don't want to blow hundreds of dollars on all the stuff that I don't need that comes with it. Is there a simple coaxial cable or other wire that hooks directly into the back of a laptop that then leads to the set? Any help would be great.

as long as you have a graphics card that isnt built into the motherboard. You can use either a yellow video cable and that works fine, but then no sound on the tv, just comp. Or you can get a s-video cable if you have thatg output on the laptop. Could we get pics of the backside of the laptop?

I have both Coaxial and S-video output. both male and emale on the TV. No pics.

And it is an Inspirion 1100 by Dell

I find things. That's what I do. the last link I sent should be your first resort, though.
