If you were to draft a service schedule for your nitro what would it look like?

Things like....

Clutch shoes, how many gallons do they last, 2, 3, 4?
Pistons and liners?
Carbs?
Tyres?
Rx packs (charges)

You know the thing I mean like a car manual, ya know?

Water Pump
2,000 miles CHECK
20,000 miles CHECK
40,000 miles REPLACE
60,000 miles CHECK

That type of thing.

Clutch shoes depends on what material they are.

Team Orion V6: checked every gallon of use, 3-4 gallon lifespan.
Losi 8ight clutch: Checked every race/practice session, 2 gallon lifespan
I check the clutch bearing every quart of fuel, and between heats when racing. DNF's on account of a bad clutch bearing is just dumb.

Engine: I clean mine after every race/practice weekend, and check internals every two sessions. Last engine I wore out lasted 11 gallons.

Carburetor: I don't do anything special to them, I have yet to have o-rings go bad in one of my engines.

Tyres: depending on compund, tyre and surface they can last me anywhere from 1 quart to several gallons.

All this is written from a racers POV. Driving my RC's of the track has very little appeal to me. :D

Rx batteries: I have no idea how many cycles I have on my Rx packs. This summer I threw away two (they had been in rotation since 06) when they lost a significant amount of mAh's. I always charge my packs at no higher rate than .6A. They hold a better charge giving you longer runtime that way, and they will also take more cycles before going bad.

Race engine bumpstart versions. New front bearing every 2 gallons at the latest. Main bearings,2-4 gallons depending on the quality. conrods are usually ready to replace by 6 gallon mark. The average quality al. clutch shoe 2-3 gallons. clutchbell bearings i rotate outer to inner. My Kyosho is very good about not fouling bearings. Some have went a full gallon. I am picky about my bearings too, anal is a better way to describe it....
Diff bearings, every two hours they get new ones and new diff fluid. wheel bearings, I use the old diff bearings for. They take so much abuse, it's not worth putting new ones in to me. Brakes, depend on the car are the setup. CVD's, inspect everytime you remove the diffs. replace worn pins as soon as they get sloppy. Universals are way more dependable, easy 8 gallons or more on Jammin's and Kyosho's.
The old Savage, every two hours clean the diffs, replace the bearings. CB bearings can go for 2 gallons or more when installed properly. Drive cups, replace when they get notched. Dogbones...i broke those like twigs every bash day. Spur and slipper...4 gallons usually was the limit with my Modded STS .30.

4 dollars for 4 new bearings.... or 20-50 for a new differential!!?? I can't afford that.

Dust weekly, wax monthly. :D

You forgot Armor All for the tires....Repolish the chassis just for the fun of it.
I'd love to get my hands on that truck. I can just see al. parts bending ,snapping ,scratched to hell and back by the time I pulled a few backflips off with it!:p:

Scrogg you know what happened the last time someone pointed out a spec of dust on one of his cars. Are you trying to get him committed? :hehe:

LMAO!!!
Here's your Armoral. I thought it was obvious that I wouldn't be without it. :hehe:

I need to update my pics. This one doesn't have the alloy bumpers and supports. Sure looks cheap.
