A three-hour prepaid card costs $4.50, one-third of the average Cuban monthly wage.

You're kidding me, the average monthly wage in Cuba is $13.50? That's an hourly wage of about $0.056 or almost 6 cents per hour. Time for a revolution.

And here's another gem:
But President Fidel Castro's government, in power since a 1959 revolution, maintains that restricting access to the Internet is necessary for the social good in poor developing countries where the telecommunications infrastructure is insufficient.

Shouldn't that second word be DICTATOR? I mean come on, 55 year terms and counting. Maybe they're restricting access because if the people saw how screwed their contry really is, it would start a revolution.

One of the many reasons that they try to come here by the boat loads.
