Hello, I've got a COLT 10 Touring Car that i got at christmas, I got 2 new Colt body shells..the shells look mint but the only problem is the exhaust on my Car, its a stock exhaust for the car but it sticks out and pushes the shell out with it.. also the hole for the exhaust pushes out the shell.. so I've decided to put holes in for the end of the exhaust to pop out of.. this is really annoying though as i fell I'm ruining a perfically good shell. One side of my car looks flush with the wheels and the other side are all stuck out and looks messy! How can i fix/resolve this?![

The photos attached are of the car..
1.The first one is to show the exhaust and car
2. To show what the shell looks like when fitted and what i have to do to try and adapt!
3. This is the view of the otherside of the car where the wheel is flush and looks nice.

Have you tried adjusting the muffler inwards on the front bracket? Or maybe a different exhaust manifold elbow which might not stick out as much.. Or even maybe a thinner muffler? Just some ideas..

Unfortunately because of the different shapes of different bodies your gonna run into this. Just because it was made for your car doesn't necessarily mean it will fit perfectly. I've got a couple MT's that I have had to completely cut away the side skirt on because of the same issue with my exhaust. Sucks but its the nature of the hobby. Theres only so much adjustments you can do before you just have to live with the results. Tell you what if you drive REAL FAST you wont even notice it!! :)

I dont think that looks that bad. Thats a really cool looking body too. Now I'm going to look up Colt 10 I want on road car and that one looks nice.

Is that belt driven?

When you can see it in person, you can see what i would mean by anoying. If i was you mate, unless your from Australia, ide look for other alternatives to COLT there brilliant cars + very fast, very adgile, i would reccomend them, its just parts are always a problem for me. I go to order a new part and the shop says i ordered the last past for the car, shops only seem to stock one of everything. Brillaint car if you have a reliable source of parts. Yeah I'm really happy with the shells! Thanks!

Its a Austrilan make of car.. first they were called COLT then Colt went bust or shut down or something and a company called PRO TEC took over.. then they shut down.. so really unless your from australia.. your chances of finding more than one of the part you need is really small.. the person who brought me this didnt look up about the car.. still the cars fast.. fun and i love it.. so i keep carefull and look after the little bugger to keep it alive!
