anytime u reduce the temperature of the incoming air, u will reduce the heat of the engine, and increase its performance, but will also slightly lean it out. this may or may not be noticeable on a nitro truck. ask WoodiE about his - he handcrafted a cold air intake on his savage, and it looks great. I'm not sure what the performance gains were
