Hi! I am looking into a clutch upgrade for my revo, there is 3 that I am interrested in :\:

Hot Racing 3 Piece Clutch with Silver Flywheel
Team Integy INTT3143B Blue 3-Shoe Clutch Conversion for the Traxxas REVO
MIP1620 Clutch Kit for the Traxxas REVO 3.3

Any suggestions?

Thanx

M2C Racing makes the best REvo clutch hands down.

I have the medium 2 shoe setup with 1.0 springs, it's perfect. 2 gallons with no issues and plenty of life still left.
These shoes/springs are super easy to install, easier than stock!
Your stock flywheel is fine with these, all you need is the modified clutch nut, shoes and springs. Call the guy if you have any questions, he is a first class business man and racer.

I slotted the trans holes in the chassis and moved it forward about 1/4 of an inch (little more maybe) and installed an 1/8 scale 3 shoe savage flywheel/clutch. Then I ran OFNA 1/8 pitch bells.

Never had to replace the clutch in that thing for the year after I did it. I ran a 18TM in it for most of it's life and BB engines in it here and there with a conversion kit.

I run the M2C 3 shoe and love it.You will need the kit with flywheel, shoes, springs& nut.I am sure the 2 shoe works well also.

I ripped the pins out of a few integy flywheels and the stock Platinum flywheel.I'm done with both of those. The hot racing came with washers atleast.M2C has the washers forged right in the shoe.

Hi I was a bit over eager and bought the MIP!!! :\Wht do you guys think about the MIP's? I have tried my old clutch shoes in reverse but my cb got extremely hot. I dont recommend doing it. Thanx for the comments.

i have the 3 shoe integy on both my 3.3 maxx and my 2.5r revo works great and they last a while

Oh well, I'll try the m2c on my next clutch upgrade.

Thanx for the recommendations

same with me. i have mine on my 2.5R and never had a problem. and now i have the same set up on my OS.18TM and its still going strong after a half gallon

I herd somewhere that you could put your stock clutch shoes on backwards so they grip quicker... Anyone ever try this???

The Revo 3.3 is set from factory with the clutch shoes installed with leading edge(opposite of how normally istalled). This has caused me many problems breaking flywheel pins, clutch springs, and cracking the shoes at the mounting holes.I do not recommend this.Instal the shoes with a traiing edge.

captain chaos hit the nail on the head with that one. i also heard that little "trick" and turned out to be a disaster. they have stock looking shoes in aluminum which should work out good too.

Regular 1/8th scale clutch shoes can be turned around backwards, some are designed to run specifically that way. I have tried it on several occasions, unless they are designed to run backwards don't bother.
