2 shoe stock or three shoe aluminum? What's the advantages of the three shoe? I've heard there is issues with the wearing of the aluminum

two show doesn't make as much contact as a three shoe does and aluminum shoes are supposed to bit faster and not slip as muxh whether u run composite or aluminum three shoe is the way to go

If you run aluminum shoes you do have to occasionally clean up the shoes from mushrooming and building up aluminum inside the bell. I say at least every gallon of fuel. The composite shoes do not have this issue. Either way 3 shoe systems bite better with a bigger contact surface than any two shoe does. A 4 shoe does even better and you have more adjustment. You can run different grades of shoe like 2 aluminum and 2 composite or all aluminum/composite, so on and so fourth.
