its been a while since i have been on here. well some people remember me being the one asking about the different clutchs for my tmaxx. well i am still trying to find something. but this picture explains better than i can, this is a mip clutch and the motor is the xtm 24.7. it looks like the clutch is engaging to much and causing the spring to stretch and this is the heavy duty spring that comes with the clutch. do yall think that i would be better off with an aluminum clutch because it is also melting my clutch shoes.thanx.

Well I have the same engine in my T-maxx and mine did the exact same thing.I was running a 22t clutchbell and Imex crawlers. I went to an Integy 3 shoe setup and I havent had any problems since. Maybe try a Werks racing clutch ..

I'm guessing you have a 21 conversion chassis right? If so, you can use a 1/8 clutch with an RC-Solutions steel spur. That's what I did with my XTM 21 chassis maxx when I had it. Never had a clutch problem again after that. I ran a few gallons through it after installing it before selling the truck off.

I ran a savage 3-shoe w/teflon shoes and a OFNA hardened 15T bell. You have to get a hardened bell though. If you don't, the RCS spur will chew it up in under a tank. Especially with a 24.7. I was just running an OS 21 RG and it did this at about the 1/2 tank mark to a HPI savage bell:

Granted, it costs a bit to go this route, but it's definitly dependable.
