Hello all,
Jsut got a used LST last week and have had a few things go wrong, which were pretty simple fixes. I was doing some donuts, and kind of banged into a truck tire, not very hard, and I lost forward gear. Reverse works fine. I took apart the transmission and everything looked good, so I cleaned it and greased everything up, and put it all back together. Now when I start it, the idle is wide open and the clutch spins, not having any transfer of power to the tranny. What have I done? Or more like, What is this gonna cost me. Any help would be great, I will continue to pluck along and tinker with a few other things to see if I can "self learn" myself.
Thanks,
Brian in VA

It was a combo of that-he gears not meshing between forward and reverse...AND,,,NEVER grease the one way bearing at the slipper assembly!! Cleaned the grease away and the slipper locked one way and spins the other, it was spinning both directions and not putting any "power" to the transmission.
Cheers,
Brian
