I have about 2.5 gallons in my savage and clutch bell bearings went. I got some of them but should they fit in snug or barely stay in there... they barely stay in the bell. Also, My clutch shoes went, Should I upgrade to aluminum or stay with the teflon shoes? Also should I stay with the same 3 shoe clutch or go with a different design?

Help me out again.

What size bearings did you get?

I would stay with aluminum. The 3-shoe style is fine. If you really want to get a good clutch, I heard the Fioroni sliding clutch is good.

3-shoe is good. Teflon are good but slip a bit when geared too tall. Otherwise they last a really long time. I run them in my savage and aftershock with LRP28's in both. I've gotten plenty of runtime out of them both.

The bearings usually just sit in the bell for me. If I flip the bell, they fall out.

On my cb the rear bearing seems to wanna stay in and the front falls out while in hand.

I've used the stock plastic, nova alum shoes and now stock xl alum shoes. Of those I prefer the nova's. Have heard good things about dynamite max life also.

The 3 shoe seems to be tried and true. Hth
