Make sure everything is bolted down properly..

Does it still brake ok or is it affecting the braking...??

Maybe your car is just chicken?

Sorry, j/k...

Definitely post up what kind of car. Without that we don't know if it is shaft or belt drive, type of brake setup, nitro or electric, etc. then we can help more.

:hehe: I missed that till MustangMan pointed it out.

I would think you could get a good rooster tail if you ran it through water.

You need to check all parts of the drive line. Axles, driveshafts, universals. It will have a load in one direction when under throttle, then that load will be reversed when you hit brakes. Any major play in a part will give you that clunk.

Pull your diffs, check your pinion gears. I heard that two, found I was missing more teeth than a redneck.

let me correct myself....CLUNCK when i brake haha no it does not affect my braking, it is nitro, it is a GV Dominator buggy with disc brakes, all my pinion gears seem all cool but i do seem to have a bit of wear where the center dog bones connect up to the center pinion, cause of my problem maybe? if so i would like to take the car in for a service soon anyways....had it for 1year 8months without one so...

i gotta take a brake anyways, lost a few bolts off the motor and i'm gunna get my LHS to have a look at it

If you see worn out-drives, grab 'em and replace them. It's a pretty simple fix, and you learn something besides how to give more money away. Paying somebody to turn a hex driver isn't exactly money well spent.;)

Well said Matt...

Everything I own is an RTR, but the manuals (HPI) all have exploded view and assembly diagrams. I've had my RS4 Evo, MT2, and my Savage down to the bare deck (or TVPs in the case of the Savy) and it is great feeling getting to know the ins and outs of the R/C, shimming the diffs, rebuilding the shocks, etc. Just take your time, follow the assembly page in your manual, and you can do it yourself! Save some labor money for hop ups and get the satisfaction of doing it yourself!
