Ohhh, I was looking at the vents. There is a member here on the forum... flmsavage, if I recall right, that had a few of those sheer off from the horsepower from an OS .30. The only fix was to run the non-vented hardened bell.

If I were to run a steel spur I'd run one of those HPI vented bells I linked to above. The plastic spur works fine for my race track Savage. If you set the mesh and the slipper properly you should not have any problems.

MAN !!!! dont know if i should get the steel spur anymore...Would save buying a hardened bell and that damn steel spur, dont know i'll think about it...anybody else has an opinion please !!

I run the plastic spur with no issues at all. It's sure cheaper than a clutch bell to replace. And a lot easier if you have the X center trans case.

15/49, with the three speed trans.

Nice I'm getting myself one too(3 speed)...15/49, and u havent have any issues what so ever with the plastic spur:ponder2: ...Ya well i think I'm gonna stick to plastic, less $$$$ to spend for the hardened bell and the steel spur.

thanks alot:cheers:

No problem amigo. With that gear ratio, you'll have to lower your 1-2 shift point down to about 1 1/8 turn from flush (see the instructions that come with the kit), and adjust 3rd gear from there.
