Hi All

I took my savage out today and i was going over a jump and when i landed the drive axel poped out. I brought it back and fixed it. Then as i am rolling it back and fourth (as you do). It seens to click every time i move it back. :\

Thanks ellmo1;)

Check all 4 of your wheel hex's that happened to my firestorm flux once.
The next thing i can think of is the Diff OH NOOOOOOOO

Thanks

If you are running the stock differential gears you could have broken off a few teeth on the ring or pinion gear, they don't come shimmed from the factory very well.

Hi

I dont think it is the differentals becouse i have only run it a few times. And seems to run fine when i start it up:D

Make sure you have put the dog bone back in properley. Also each drive cup has a small o ring inside it. If that has fallen out at the same time as the driveshaft it could be making your shaft move too much and cause it to pop out of the cup. Does it do it more on full lock either way? When you turn fully right the left shaft will be at its furthest and vice versa. If its popping out at full lock it may not be seating back in place properley when it returns to centre.

It only makes the sound when I push it back

Could be the bearings. I had the same issue on my savage X thought the front diff was gone but turned out to be one of the bearings. I think it was the right side bearing on the drive cup.

How do you know that you are missing a bearing in the drive cup?
What does it look like?
when i remove the wheel that i think has something missing it seems fine.

A bearing can do that if the cage inside it is broken. You'll have to check them individualy.:\

You will have to dig a little deeper than just taking the wheel off you will have to pull the front diff out of the truck

When i roll it back and forth a few times it goes into full lock.
I bought a new axel today doesn't make any diffrence. Took the transmition apart no stripped gears (nothing). Wheat about thease little o rings. How do you tell they have fallen out.:D

Each drive cup should have one inside it. Usually they are red. Where the drive shaft end goes into the cup.

Have you removed any screws under by your skid plates lately

I had the same Turns out one of my screws were too long and scraped against the c cup by the diff. Just loosen one screw at a time and see which one is scraping because it is too long. Just shorten it or replace it with correct one. Let me know.
