thanks man. I cracked up laughing when I read your post. I know I am clueless, but my wife told me it was ok to play with gasoline as long as it involves running the mower or weed eater. No ofense taken, I just know how dump I sound now. I really need to go to a track with other people sometime.

hey man, you said to take it easy, and I took it real easy. Hey, when I started I didn't even know hardly any terms past pull start.

so, dont feel bad.

I would replace both gears... Replacing them is very easy, and my grandma could do it... 4 screws and the ring gears pops off, put the new gear on, put the 4 screws back in, and its done. The shims should go on the pinion, before the bearings. You should make it so it doesn't click, but doesn't have a lot of space to move.

^^depends on how much play is there....I've had stock sets that needed no shims anywhere and I've had some that used half of one of those OFNA kits to do one diff.....quality control is obviously not a strong point at traxx-ass.....

I've got to get mine back from my buddies house and tear it apart. Just haven't had alot of time working 11:30am to 8:00pm, and moving/10 other things.
