I got my T Maxx out today when I was at the father in laws house and I was running it when I started to hear a clicking noise. It didnt start doing this until I started running 30% in my truck. Is it getting to much power to the diffs and my diffs are about to go out or what! Any help would be great so I can take care of the problem so I wont be down for long.

Could be a plehtora of things but why are you running 30% in your engine? I wouldn't reco anything higher then 20% in the Trx 2.5 from my experience now even in cold climates. 30% nitro would be acceptable in extreme cold.

Genrally the god awfull "clicking" noise that many people experience with their new T-maxx's is from the reverse gearing in the Tranny. If that's what it is then the only way to remedy it is to do a forward only conversion (takes out a chitload of parts but doesn't make the truck any faster like some claim IME).

30%NitroBoy, sorry for the mix up but my t maxx has a O.S. Max in it. Also, I was told that running 30% was O.K. just as long as the shimes were right. I have ran about 6 tanks so far since I started, and the motor just rips like nothing else. Alot better then the 20%. I hope it is the reverse, cause I never use it anyway considering the damn reverse dont work have the time anyway.

i think it could be one of two things, the gears engageing at the start of an accleeration or the diff gears needing attention/replacment.

does the clicking keep clicking through the whole acceleration or just at the begening?

The clicking noise is normal when u are begining to take off or at idle. It eventually goes away after u run it for awhile.

The noise is only when I get on it. During the run it doesn't do it.
