Clear Coat Paint

Has any one used clear coat paint on there hard body? What is the best kind?

If it's an externally painted hard body it needs to be compatible with the paints you used. Clear lacquer on top of certain paints will give you a wrinkle finish. Clear gloss varnish is probably safe for most paints but takes longer to dry and cure.
You'll want to do some test pieces.
Just like a 1:1 car, the true glass like gloss is only achieved with the rub-out and the buffing.
