I'm new to the hobby, and was wondering when u say clean the engine do guys mean spaying the cleaner through the engine or the outside.
.....................and rember no questin is a stupid question. HeHe:mobile:

Both.

ALWAYS keep your airfilter on and glo plug in when cleaning the outside. You dont want to risk ANY particles of dirt or stones in the engine.

Cleaning the inside can be a bit intimmidating depending on how far down you want to clean it. Typically, cleaning the carb and running wd-40 through the intake and out the exhaust port is good regular maintenance. While every couple of gallons its good to take the cooling head and backplate off and not only inspect the piston and sleeve, but the conrod itself.

Also clean the outside of your engine i use an air compressor to blast out all the dirt and junk off you engine because dirt or whatnot can act as an insulator and not let the heat from you engine escape as freely as it should..

I don't know if anybody else does this while they're out bashing... but I'll spray WD-40 down into the heat sink before I even remove the glow plug.
