Chubakas 1/8 Ford Raptor first gen.

Body is a New Bright "1/6" Ford Raptor. Didnt calculate but seems more 1/8.

This will be more of a large scale trail truck then a crawler, wont be beat on too much.

Axles will be Rc4wd or Axial, tranny I'm thinking ax10 2wd to 4wd selectable. I may get a dig just to power brake. Power I'm looking at Tekin, Castle 2400 or 3800.

I'm gonna get a set of XD 5 spokes in 2.2, unsure on the backup wheels. Paint I'm leaning on candy apple red.

Chassis will be axial, or the new Trx6 tow truck, shooting for Axial IFS up front.

Including a lighter and Traxxas slash wjeels as a reference. Last pic has my Trx radio in the bed.

I've been pondering the idea and decided to bite the bullet. Overall I like it, just wish it was bigger.

Starting to layout the body work. My old and lost 1/6 f150 lightning didnt have this much mould gap!
Undecided if I am keeping the top round light bar, might replace it with a current rectangle bar.

The wheels are JConcepts pulled off my nitro slash.

Not bad, the only thing that would drive me nuts is the window netting. how much clearance do you think you will have with the tires on?

That is the miilon dollar question. If I can find any of my wheel tools, I'm gonna throw them on my 10ii. That should give me an idea. I am purchasing a set of 2.2s so I can get taller tires if needed.

As for the windows, I'm playing with lexan sheet. But tgen I will need an interior! Starting to become an OCD trip!

Getting it slapped together. Shes getting built up and test driven then tore down. After teardown, during the rebuild, I'm gonna use scale bolts. The chassis, I may change the layout and make a 3 piece. The rear shock towers were removed. Not gonna work with a bed, so leafs with Rc4wd scale shocks.

Aluminum Strc parts are: black lockouts, silver front shock towers, red chassis brace, red servo mount, red link mount up front, 2 more black chassis braces in the mail, and an rc4wd steering stabilizer.

I plan on Strc for all the axle links, in red. The shock tower I wanted red but seem to be discontinued.


Thinking of getting a Tekin for this one.
