hello everybody, like most kids i will be lookin for a crawler after christmas under $200 if possible, doesn't have to be complete just try'in to get started in rock crawling.. so any help would be appreciated thanks!!!
,Brandon

yeah i guess so i really am not much of a fan of the duratrax i guess it is because i like bigger stuff!!!

it might be pretty hard to find a good crawler for under $200, and if you are gonna spend more than that you might as well buy a artr axial or even a rtr.....or you could peice one together wich i like better cuz then its more personalized...you could get some axial axles for around 80 bucks and then a used chassis, motor, esc, radio/reciever, wheels, tires, links and so on....might cost alittle more in the long run, well not much more cuz if you bought a artr you would still need all the electronics.

I think you can get a Wheely King for under $200, and I believe there is a crawler conversion kit that you can get.

yeah i think i have made up my mind and i think that i am just going to buy an artr axial and start from there, and as i progress slowly add more parts to it to get the more personalized look as you say slowngreen.i definately don't want to start off putting one together instead i want to get a complete one and take it all apart to get to know it and whats what and what this does and stuff like that if ya'll understand where i'm coming from and if i dont know what something does i guess i will just ask somebody on here so that way i am learning more!!! Does this make any sense???

i don't want to sound stupid i guess but i don't want to build it i don't wanna put $300 into this project right off i don't know i guess i'm just weird!!!

with the artr, you still have to get motor, esc, reciever, radio, and steering servo.....

yeah the rtr is the only ready to run axial but it lacks over the artr

just go on flea bay and get u a losi mini crawler...180 is not that much for a crawler.....g/l finding one tho

There are tons of used crawlers for sale. As stated above, it is popular, however most of us crawler guys usually have at least 4 or 5 rigs and we're always buying, selling, and trading. However, most of the crawlers go for more that what you're looking to spend. Also, tons of axials are for sale really cheap right now because all of the comp guys are going to motor over axle setups now or in the near future.

I would advise against the RTR axial. It is not the same rig as the kit only put together. It contains a lot of plastic parts, doesn't have a crawler motor in it, and the electronics aren't worth the salt in a piece of bread.

However, I help young guys get started whenever I can. If you type me up something with your age, how long you've been into RC's, what you've had, and that you want to get into crawling, and send me a PM, I promise I'll do my best to help you get a rig for your price range, and it will be a nice rig that you can show up at a competition with and have a nice start.
