Wellllll, I got tried of waiting on Tower to get the Platinum editions instock so I picked one up on my way back from Houston,TX. I have ordered 3 3S 25c 4400maH Polyquest batteries from HobbyCity they had a smoking deal on them 52.00 each. I don't know what paint scheme I will go with at this time.

I am very happy with the way this truck is put together. Traxxas sure used their heads on this one. The 2WD Slash was a great truck well IMO this one is 10x better then it's 2WD brother.

When I get the packs in and get some paint on the body I will post some video. I can't wait to run this truck using my Futaba 4PK. This will be the first time I have used the 4PK in a fast truck so I am kinda pumped to see how well it works. I know it is great for Comp rigs and scalers.

Congrats on the new rig! I'm saving for one too.

lets meet up chip. I have a 1/16th version of yours since my budget is 1/16th of yours. lol

little man is big enough to travel now so he can chill with the womenfolk.

The truck looks great and i agree the design is very well thought out and looks to be solid and protected. smokin deal on the lipo's too.

Congrats Chip.

Traxxas really did a great job putting this one together. It's nice that it's not just a Slash 2x4 that has been modified to 4x4.

Are you going to be putting in the center diff?

I am still mulling over upgrading my 3PKS to a 4PK.

I am going with the center diff. for sure. The 4PK is spendy but well worth the $$$$ and is far better then any other TX I have used.

this Saturday. you should have your batteries in.
Make sure you charge the batteries for all your trucks, mine will be dead in half an hour and i will need something else to drive.

:)

Are you using the included battery pack?

Also, it looks like it comes with the drop down wheel thingy. Does it also come with the angled adapter?

Yes I am, the pack will last about 6 hrs. The angled adapter comes with the radio, along with some nice screen protectors.

Perfect.

Thanks Chip.
