That's a nice chassis,But that's all it is. It's just a chassis kit, with the links & hardware,You'll need the axles too. That's what they mean by gearboxes. Still a very nice set-up,90 degree articulation,WOW!!

What's required for ready to run:

Clod or similar gear boxes
Servo mount kit
Steering & rear lockout kit
Radio, battery, servo, wheels, body, shocks, battery, esc, tires

Rolex that's not at all what you're looking for, and the clodbuster axles are a long way from the look that you're trying to achieve.

I hadn't heard of this one before, that's why I posted the link.

I saw some axle setups on other sites for over 200 for the pair. Beautiful alloy, realistic detail, but not worth that much since they will be rusted up.
Right now I'm looking into the mini T-Rex setup just for the correct width.
Anyone know where I can get some mini U-bolts to fit like the ones Tamiya uses?

ya thats a pretty nice looking setup. not too bad at 200 either. for gearboxes, i think they are talking axles and transmission spur ect......

The T-Rex are scale axles. The cludbuster chassis is REALLY far away from scale, and the axles are the ones where the motor mounts on each axle.

Rolex, I think the axles for the Losi Mini rock crawler might be the prefect width, and they look pretty scale, and I think they would be a lot better to rust out than a $200 set of aluminum axles. Also, the parts are readily available for them, which usually isn't the case with the RC4WD stuff.

My thoughts exactly, Charlie. I'm looking for the scale appearance, without the bling. I'm even considering only rear wheel drive and fabricating my own stock front end. If anyone knows if the '56 Ford F-150 was available with 4WD, let me know.

2-wheel drive only.

Okay, thanks. I was about to order the Losi and tear it down to the parts I needed, but now I'll look into getting just the rear axle and some of the other drive train parts.
The Losi Mini Rock Crawler is 7" wide. The truckling fenders are a hair over 7 1/2. Just perfect scale.
