Do you get a screen that asks for a username? Also check the top of your browser, it might ask you to allow a download of a java app.

The chatroom is a Java Chat Software, so maybe you don't have Java enabled?

If you run NoScript or don't have java enabled you'll beed to allow the script or go to Tools->Options->Content tab and enable Java and Javascript.

all that is checked on mine. i get the java icon down by the clock. maybe i need to updat java?
