Cheapest place to buy Traxxas 2.5 Engine

I have a T-maxx with an M-16 engine in it and I'm constantly having problems with the pull start and getting it to start in general. Everytime I need a part for it I have to mail order it. I figure the 2.5 parts will be the easier to get of any engine. I suppose I will need the Easystart 2 and upgrade kit since my T-maxx is the old .15 one. Any input would be appreciated.

Iwould pick up a decent .18, or .21 drop in motor anywhere from a $100 on up. XTM makes a killer .18 for round 110

The whole point here is to buy something that I can get parts for at the local hobby store. I know there are faster things out there for the money. I'm looking for convenience over performance at this point.

What kind of engines does your LHS stock? Does he stock parts for what he sells? I would look there first. If that does'nt work for you, go to E-bay. I'm sure you can find a new 2.5 cheap.

Well I know I have a Traxxas .15 engine I can trade back to Traxxas for $100 plus $5 shipping. Is that going to be the best deal?

try www.towerhobbies.com i think thay are 105 dollars don't know for sure. but that what i payed for mine last year.or you can try www.rcboyz.comkeep your .15 and get a new 2.5

Why send it to Traxxas when you can buy a new one for the same price.
