Cheapest nitro MT

I have a T-maxx and my friend wants to get into the hobby as cheap as posibble (speed dosent really matter to much) so i was wondering where my friend could get a nitro 4wd truck with radio for the least money. thanks

here we go its the EVO version it has roto start and a t15 engine i have the t15 in my rs4 evo and its a good start

I dont really think that there is any cheap mt. They all run around $400. But if you go cheaper then that then you will be pissed that you didnt buy a more expensive truck because he is always breaking things. Jusy my.........Nick

I would go to my LHS and get the cheapest one they stock parts for. That way he can get the support he will need when he breaks stuff. :marshall:

The NMT isn't a bad way to start out. I would suggest you get the NMT 2 though. Has many better features than the original NMT.

Seriously though, cheaper doesn't mean cheaper. Most of the time when you try to get in really cheap you'll double your cost fixing it because it's cheap for a reason.
Tell him to do himself a favor and get a decent truck from the get-go. He'll be much happier with the truck and have A LOT more fun with it.

Id say TMaxx because its a good product to start out with. And as u probably know Traxxas made it as close to idiot proof as they could. T Maxx comes out of the box quick. And there are parts everywhere if it breaks. You can't go wrong for a new comer.

i own both a t-maxx and a savage 25. hands down id recomend the savage...the two trucks are about the same price....both have many of the same features....the t-maxx may be a little more agile out of the box..but the savage is a good 5 times more durable than the t-maxx in every aspect of its desighn and materials.

Well I guess he'll end up saving if the truck is durable (Savage) and it's certainly not on the high end of the spectrum when it comes to price.
