Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and just have a few questions. I bought my Revo 3.3 today and some recharge batteries to go in the transmitter. The guys at my lhs said I can charge the batteries inside the transmitter by connecting it to my wall charger but I can't seem to find the socket on the remote? Could someone help me?

Cheers

Kris

The stock remote does not have a charge port on it. The battery for the transmitter is normally rechargeable though. The guy at your LHS may have meant TX not RX.

although it would be bad @$$ if you could charge them with out taking them out of the TX, or if there was a 8cell pack that u could use

Most aftermarket systems have a charge port, although after using the one on mine I'll never do it again since it melted the battery tray.

If you use a decent peak charger, that shouldn't be an issue. I've been charging mine in my transmitter for many years without issues.

For my airtronics mx-3, traxxas TQ3 and Losi Micro-T radio, I took the transmitter apart and wired in a receiver type plug and let the pigtail hang out the back. Very convenient:

I had a proper sized end for JR radios, so I cut it and wired a pigtail to it as well, so I can use my peak charger to charge my spektrum too:

what kind of batteries you useing, just any rechargable ones? i got the dx2.0 thanks

Yes. Just 8 duracell 2650mah NiMH cells. I'm running the spektrum 3.0.

Be careful as I believe the JR/spektrum radio's built in charge plug is reverse polarity compared to others. Mine had a diagram in the manual.

I have th recahageable packs in my Futaba 3PKS and Airtronics M8 using a Ice charger and like Olds never had a problem. I am using 2600mah cells and They will last a good week for me with running almost every day. I think I get 10-12 hours of use...?
