ok first of here is my current shell i have hacked up from my kryptonite

i have cut open the windows for my engine cooling but i think its time to get a new shell as there is a split on the left side indicated by the red stitching ( car is now nicknamed frankenstein )

i need some information

I'm thinking of getting a pickup truck style body and customizing

what i need to know is do i need to actually use a spoiler on my truggy as if i use a truck body i dont want a spoiler

and also whats the best thickness look for in a body shell i want maximum durability as this thing is fast and i want something that will take the odd rollover

i was thinking of something like this on ebay

or this

The wing does serve a purpose for stability in the air but at the same time isnt required to make it run. It just helps keep it leveled during some jump sessions. As far as thickness I try to find something that is .040" or more for my MT's so it can take those beatings without a big problem. Be aware that cutting out all 3 of the entire windows will weaken any thickness body and cause cracks. Going with something like this:

should allow sufficient air to get to the motor and help cool IMO but still give you solid stability during rollovers

thanks the body in the pics i was kinda experimenting with since it was already split before i started so it allowed me to hone my dremel skills

oh and nice shell

Thnx for the compliment. 1 of my first shells I had all 4 windows cut completely out and I went with a piece of lexan, glued, and overlapped on the roof as an "airscoop". Complete overkill and the body didnt last too long either.
